Manish has been coding since the 80’s when he studied Computer Science at Columbia University in New York. He is proficient in numerous technologies and now focuses on web and mobile development using open source platforms such as LAMP/LEMP (Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, PHP), Drupal, WordPress, Ruby on Rails, Sencha Touch and HTML5/CSS3/Javascript. He has provided technology consulting to small/medium businesses as well as to Fortune 500 clients. He took a brief detour in life to get an MBA from Columbia Business School, then came right back to coding which he loves!

FJ Leto is our in-house inbound marketing and digital business
certified professional. After finishing an intensive program in entrepreneurship and management at the London School of Economics, he graduated St. Joseph’s University as their 2008 marketing and business policy gold medalist.

He went on to freelance as a business plan writer until he got the warm and fuzzies for the great outdoors. FJ managed and structured an outdoor science school in California and there created a line of teaching and promotional videos. To nurture a new found love for film, FJ spent a year producing documentaries in California, India and Nepal which have been screened worldwide.

To connect passions for business, film and technology, FJ took on the role of Director of Business Development and Marketing at Berkeley Digital Film Institute before starting BBM with Manish in 2010. FJ now splits his time between the SF Bay Area and his home town outside of Philadelphia.

Ashley is an experienced graphic designer with clients such as Wunderground (recently purchased by The Weather Channel) and William-Sonoma, as well as numerous small businesses. Ashley works in multiple mediums, including: marketing collateral, sales materials, billboards, web sites, mobile apps and on-site displays. She has also designed advertising banners for both internal and external campaigns, HTML emails for e-marketing campaigns and a wide array of marketing collateral including signage, direct mail, media kits and business cards. Ashley lives in San Francisco and enjoys lying in the sun in her free time.

John is one of our resident geeks, with with a broad variety of skills ranging from front-end development, back-end development, database management and linux server administration. His personal and professional focus is on emerging technologies and social media, conforming to web standards and creating a cohesive user experience. When he’s not staying up all night coding, he’s jamming on the electric bass with his folk rock band.

Zach, a native Californian, studied film at the Rhode Island School of Design before moving back to the west to produce documentaries at the Guna Foundation. Zach has filmed for companies all over the world, including India, Mexico, Australia, Bangladesh and of course, just about everywhere in America. Zach has an unmatched love for all things film, especially film gear, and can out geek just about anyone on the topic. Zach will let us know what he does with his spare time once he gets some. As of now, he is happy enough if he can fit in a good Bikram session and a hot vegan dinner.

Anthony Lauzon is a software engineer creating new media and audio technology. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto with an H.B.Sc. in computer science, specializing in artificial intelligence. His 2009 work at Invite Media was pivotal in the acquisition of the young Philly start-up by Google, where he concentrated on globally distributed behavioral targeting systems. Anthony has a deep seated love for software and technology, and has made code contributions to several open source projects including Pure Data, Redis, Ketama and more.

As a filmmaker *slash* web and graphic designer, Greg is constantly striving for the most harmonious possible arrangement of pixels on a screen. He received his BA in English Literature from Vassar College in upstate New York, before promptly fleeing for warmer climes. Most recently he is a graduate of the Berkeley Digital Film Institute in California, where he indulged a dormant penchant for slapstick comedy.

Pauline has been doing design on a professional basis for 5 years. Over 10 years ago as a freshman at college, she started experimenting with Photoshop late at night to create icons for her personal web journal. Little did she know that her 100 x 100 pixel creations were a stepping stone towards actual work. After graduating from UC Berkeley, she stepped into the role of designer at a non-profit organization and remained there for 4 years, teaching herself how to use InDesign, which remains her strongest Adobe program.

She currently holds several part-time positions: as a freelance graphic designer, as a designer and project manager at a small production company and as the events coordinator at a yoga studio. In her spare time, she meditates and studies Buddhism and yoga in order to lend some semblance of sanity and balance to her life.

Nothing gives Albert more satisfaction than helping directors connect with their audience through music . . . nothing besides talking about himself in the third person.

Albert has been lucky enough to collaborate with his heroes, the Kronos Quartet, and has created original music for a slew of documentaries, shorts, and web videos.

He’s hot to trot on the New York classical music scene, working with the chamber ensemble Contemporaneous and other stellar musicians. Albert likes to compose ‘hybrid scores’ that blend the expressiveness of real instruments with the possibilities of modern samplers and synthesizers.

He drinks tea each morning from an incredibly ornate silver teapot and has a budding penchant for red velvet curtains.
